Picture
This is the lesion on the upper arm of a 70 yr old lady. The central area is from previous cryocautery.  The surrounding area contains multiple ulcerations and dot blood vessels typical of IEC,  This lesion was very thin so was amenable to cryotherapy with a review in 3/12.

Same lady with lesion on lower leg. Also IEC

Picture
Same lady with another lesion on lower leg. Also IEC. This lesion has had cryotherapy to it in the past hence the white lines indicating fibrosis related to scarring.  These white lines could also be part of the IEC.  This lesion was a little thicker than the others however I elected to use cryotherapy and review in 3/12.  If the lesion is still present then it will need to be excised.

Anyone who is enthused by looking at skin lesions is welcome on this blog. My aim is that we all learn from each other.
