Daylight Photodynamic Therapy using Metvix

Metvix (methyl aminolevulinate) is applied as a cream to pre-cancerous skin lesions called solar keratoses.
The cream is applied by your doctor and the chemical is absorbed by the solar keratoses.  You are then asked to sit outside  for two hours while the sunlight activates the chemical that has been absorbed by the solar keratosis.  The skin becomes red and inflamed within a few days and by ten days the skin has peeled and is returning to normal.   This treatment is not free and for a full face treatment it costs around $700.00

The picture below is Day 2 of the treatment.
